PRRT&HS Annual Meetings

For over 50 years the society has held annual meetings for the current members that in addition to the annual business meeting has included vendor sales, presentations, and more recently a display of models, for 2 or even 3 days if an excursion was offered. Typically a banquet with a distinguished speaker concludes the meeting on the last evening. Meetings typically occur in early May, with registration materials being distributed around March 1st.

Annual Meeting Survey

We need to survey our members to determine if changes to our Annual Meetings will increase member participation and enjoyment. We conducted a survey of our 2026 Annual Meeting attendees and in addition to the members being very satisfied with the event, we also received several surprising answers. The biggest surprise is that holding the Annual meeting in May was not the preferred month - and yet nearly all annual meetings for the past 20 years have been in May.... Kind of eye-opening. That answer and several others has led us to conduct a member- wide survey of what members would like an Annual Meeting to be.

Please note that this survey is conducted entirely within the PRRT&HS web site - the data will not be shared with any outside organization. While there are a number of "free" on-line survey services, instead our society volunteers have expended considerable effort to protect the privacy of our members by conducting internet activities (including this survey) using tools that do not reveal any member data to anyone outside of the society. Across all society internet functions, the sole exceptions are that your name and address is shared with USPS when mailing the Keystone, and with shippers when fulfilling orders, and we have to provide your name and address to the credit card fulfillment center when paying by credit card (which happens every time you use a credit card.).
