Membership Renewal Period Is Open!

 

Our annual Membership Renewal Period is now open.  Until you renew, when you log into your account on prrths.org, you will be asked to renew your membership, and you can renew right then or later.

Again, this year, those of you who have email should have received your renewal notice by email on that date.  We continue to try to keep expenses down for you, and so once again, we will be trimming the cost of our renewal process by mailing the form only to those we know prefer to renew by mail. If you receive neither a renewal form nor an e-mail by mid-November, please send an email to membership@prrths.net for assistance.  If you do not have email, you may call Jim Trunzo, our Membership Coordinator, at (509) 421-3111.

Here is a quick reminder about the membership benefits that you will want to continue for 2024:

• Four issues of the highly-regarded The Keystone periodical

• Discounts on the society’s publications (see below for news on new books)

• A great annual meeting where you can:

• Catch up with old friends

• Shop the vendor room and see the amazing work in the model room

• Learn at our interesting and informative presentations

• Engage in our special activities (see below for this year’s)

The board has increased the late renewal fee to $20 to cover the cost of sending your back issues. The late renewal fee will now be assessed starting February 1st.

Should you wish to mail your renewal:

You should send ALL check payments to the following address, and if you have been using electronic bank payments to pay your dues and purchases instead of a credit card, please update your electronic banking to also use this address.

Be sure to reference your invoice number or member number.

News about the 2024 Annual Meeting!

We have secured the dates of May 8 through May 11, 2024, for the 2024 Annual Meeting in Altoona, PA.

New Books for 2024

We currently have some books in the works that we will publish in 2024, including the much-anticipated Conquest III and Conway Yard.

We will provide the latest news on the Society's books on our web site as soon as it becomes available.  In addition to providing excellent information, purchasing books is another way to support the Society.

Keeping Your Society's Costs Down

We have worked hard to control our costs this past year.  Being able to email notices to you has cut the costs of printing and postage virtually in half.  Online renewals have significantly reduced the effort required on the part of our volunteers.  We are constantly working to find new economies in the costs of producing and shipping books and periodicals.  Our members and others continue to make generous donations to the society, for which we are very grateful. 

These and other measures we have taken have allowed us to continue to provide you with a continuing level of member services, including the publication of The Keystone at its traditional outstanding level of quality, with no member dues increase again this year.  This is welcome in these inflationary times, especially to our retired members on fixed incomes.
